The Synthasium

Synthasium flyer from the late 1990s

The Synthasium is a band... of sorts. It would probably be better descibed as a collaboration between Chris Torgersen and John LaSala that has resulted mostly in recordings of music. But "band" is decent enough if one wishes to avoid a long explanation.

The Synthasium came into existence in the early/mid 1990s while John and Chris were roommates SUNY Stony Brook. There, they composed and served as musical directors on an ambitious musical theater projoect entitled Dimensional Rift, which was, at the time, the largest student-run production in the school's history.

The Synthasium has been largely dormant in recent years. The last Synthasium work appears on Opus Cipher: The Prototype, a Very Us Artists album released in 2007.

But keep in mind: That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons, even death may die.
